The project is also particularly aimed at the large part of the city's workforce who commute from Zealand because there is a lack of rental housing of the quality and standard needed to make them settle here. The vision of Bakkehusene is to create more than just housing. Here, the focus is on community and social settings, while at the same time allowing residents privacy and peace. The development should not only be a place to live – but a place to live.
